HPC usage agreement

Preamble

The University Computer Center (HRZ) centrally manages access to High Performance Computing (HPC) within Philipps-Universität Marburg. For more information, please see High Performance Computing.

The HPC cluster MaRC3a is available to employees of the university for research tasks without charging of any costs (if used appropriately and unless otherwise decided). However, workgroups directly involved in the cluster funding have priority.

In order to confirm responsibilities and group affiliations, however, one or more persons (HPC Managers) who may decide on behalf of the workgroup (AG) on questions of resource allocation, must first be registered by the workgroup leaders. This can also be the workgroup leader himself/herself. For registration, please use the online form below (login required).

The HPC managers can then activate individual Uni-Accounts (Staff) from your workgroup for HPC use (login required). For students and external guest scientists, however, a Uni-Account (Staff) must first be requested separately if it does not already exist.

Submit HPC usage agreement:

I am a workgroup leader and would like to use HPC resources within my workgroup:
